New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has recently approved additional super-specialty seats in medical colleges across India for the academic session 2025–26. This decision was taken based on recommendations made by its First Appeal Committee. According to a public notice issued on March 30, 2026, the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of NMC stated that these approvals were granted after reviewing appeals submitted by medical institutions under Section 28(5) of the NMC Act, 2019.
