Some students who joined medical college with the dream of becoming doctors are now caught in administrative hurdles. They are stuck between two universities. Investigations reveal that these students, who couldn’t complete their medical studies in 14 years, are now seeking another chance to take their exams. Around 15 students have been going back and forth between Barkatullah University (BU) and the Medical University for the past year and a half. All were enrolled in BU-affiliated medical colleges, but BU refused to conduct their exams after 2024. Meanwhile, the Medical University claimed that responsibility for these students’ exams lies with their previous university. The National Medical Commission has already clarified in its notification that MBBS courses must be completed within nine years from the date of admission. One such student, Dileep Tripathi from Chitrakoot, enrolled in MBBS in 2012 but still hasn’t been able to complete his degree after 14 years. His course remains incomplete because he fell short by just one mark in a subject. Dileep explained that he had to take a break from studies in 2013 due to personal reasons, resumed in 2015–16, and continued trying consistently. By 2024, he had appeared for the exams, but missing just one mark in one subject left his degree incomplete. Dileep says that being a Hindi-medium student made medical studies especially challenging for him. He isn’t alone—around 15 students have still not completed their MBBS even after 15 years. The group also includes one BAMS student facing a similar issue. Stuck between two universities The problem for these students worsened after the Medical University was established in 2014. Before that, they were enrolled in BU-affiliated medical colleges. BU conducted exams until 2024 but now says that the responsibility has shifted to the Medical University. Meanwhile, the Medical University insists that students admitted before 2014 fall under BU’s responsibility. As a result, these students have been going back and forth between the two universities for the past year and a half. Complaint filed with Lokpal The students have now filed a complaint with BU’s Lokpal office, demanding that their exams be conducted promptly. The National Medical Commission clarified in its 2023 notification that MBBS courses must be completed within nine years of admission. Earlier, BU had 56 such long-pending MBBS students—8 in the second year, 20 in the third year, and 28 in the fourth year. By 2024, most had completed their courses, but around 15 students still have their future hanging in uncertainty.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has agreed to revise its recent notice on mandatory compensation classes for foreign medical graduates (FMGs) after protests in New Delhi. Student groups say the changes came following discussions with the commission to address concerns raised by FMGs. Over a hundred FMG doctors, interns, and faculty had gathered outside the NMC office to protest a notice issued on March 6, 2026, by the Under-Graduate Medical Education Board. शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण मंत्रालय की रिपोर्ट शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी, इंजीनियरिंग और गणित (STEM) क्षेत्रों ने छात्रों को तेजी से आकर्षित करना शुरू कर दिया है।हाल के वर्षों में STEM प्रशिक्षण का पैमाना लगातार बढ़ रहा है, जिससे युवाओं के लिए करियर के नए अवसर खुल रहे हैं। शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण मंत्रालय की रिपोर्ट: STEM क्षेत्रों में बढ़ती भागीदारी शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण मंत्रालय द्वारा संकल्प संख्या 57-एनक्यू-टीडीब्ल्यू (विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी, नवाचार और राष्ट्रीय डिजिटल परिवर्तन में प्रगति) के कार्यान्वयन पर हाल ही में उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों के साथ हुई बैठक में जानकारी मिली कि 2024-2025 शैक्षणिक वर्ष में STEM क्षेत्रों में छात्र संख्या में महत्वपूर्ण वृद्धि होगी। पिछले वर्षों में वृद्धि विशेष क्षेत्रों में छात्र संख्या मंत्रालय के अनुसार, न केवल STEM शिक्षा का पैमाना बढ़ेगा, बल्कि शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता में भी सुधार होगा, और 2025 तक 74 प्रमुख इंजीनियरिंग और रणनीतिक प्रौद्योगिकी विषयों में प्रवेश के लिए 28 या अधिक अंक प्राप्त करने की संभावना है।

सीसीएसयू ने सत्र 2026-27 से प्राइवेट यूजी-पीजी कोर्स बंद करने का फैसला लिया है। 6 लाख कॉपियों का मूल्यांकन एआई से किया जाएगा। चौधरी चरण सिंह विश्वविद्यालय (CCSU) का बड़ा फैसला: सत्र 2026-27 से UG-PG प्राइवेट मोड बंद चौधरी चरण सिंह विश्वविद्यालय (CCSU) ने सत्र 2026-27 से UG और PG कोर्सेस में प्राइवेट मोड के लिए नए एडमिशन पूरी तरह से बंद करने का निर्णय लिया है। अब विश्वविद्यालय में प्रथम वर्ष के लिए प्राइवेट मोड में कोई नया पंजीकरण नहीं होगा। हालांकि, जिन छात्र-छात्राओं ने पहले से प्राइवेट मोड में पंजीकरण कराया हुआ है, उन्हें अपनी डिग्री पूरी करने का मौका मिलेगा। इसमें द्वितीय वर्ष, अंतिम वर्ष और एक्स/बैक वाले छात्र शामिल हैं। यह महत्वपूर्ण फैसला बुधवार को कुलपति प्रो. संगीता शुक्ला की अध्यक्षता में हुई विद्वत परिषद की बैठक में लिया गया। एनईपी-2020 लागू होने के बाद प्राइवेट पाठ्यक्रमों को बंद करने का प्रावधान था, लेकिन ग्रामीण पृष्ठभूमि के छात्रों के हित में विवि पिछले कुछ वर्षों से पंजीकरण जारी रखे हुए था। हाल ही में सेल्फ फाइनेंस कॉलेज फेडरेशन ने प्राइवेट की वैधता को चुनौती देते हुए हाईकोर्ट का रुख किया था, हालांकि अभी कोई फैसला नहीं आया। विवि ने अब विवादों पर विराम लगाते हुए आगामी सत्र से प्राइवेट बंद करने का स्पष्ट निर्णय लिया। प्राइवेट के स्थान पर विश्वविद्यालय छात्रों को ओपन डिस्टेंस लर्निंग (ओडीएल) और ऑनलाइन मोड में घर बैठे या नौकरी करते हुए वैध यूजी-पीजी डिग्री हासिल करने का विकल्प देगा। इसके लिए विवि ने नए पाठ्यक्रमों को मंजूरी दे दी है। विश्वविद्यालय आधिकारिक घोषणा कार्यपरिषद की बैठक के बाद कर सकता है। इस फैसले से छात्र संगठनों का विरोध संभव है, क्योंकि लाखों ग्रामीण छात्र प्राइवेट मोड पर निर्भर हैं। एआई से मूल्यांकन का ऐतिहासिक प्रयोगविवि ने एक और अहम कदम उठाते हुए यूजी-पीजी प्राइवेट परीक्षाओं (बीए, बीकॉम, एमए, एमकॉम) के साथ एलएलएम की छह लाख से अधिक उत्तर पुस्तिकाओं का मूल्यांकन एआई (आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस) से कराने का फैसला किया है। यह पायलट प्रोजेक्ट के रूप में शुरू होगा और प्रदेश का पहला ऐसा राज्य विश्वविद्यालय होगा जहां इतनी बड़ी संख्या में कॉपियां पूरी तरह एआई से चेक होंगी। डीएसडब्ल्यू प्रो. भूपेंद्र सिंह को इसकी जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है। विवि नियम तय करेगा और एआई के माध्यम से निष्पक्ष, तेज मूल्यांकन सुनिश्चित करेगा। यह फैसला डिजिटल शिक्षा और तकनीकी नवाचार की दिशा में सीसीएसयू के प्रयासों को मजबूत करेगा, जबकि प्राइवेट मोड की समाप्ति से नियमित और ओडीएल मोड पर फोकस बढ़ेगा।
