IIT JEE Advanced Exam Date 2026 Announced
IIT Roorkee has officially announced the exam date for JEE Advanced 2026. The examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026 (Sunday). Like previous years, the exam will take place in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at various designated centres across India.
JEE Advanced is considered one of the most challenging and prestigious entrance examinations in the country. Only the top candidates who qualify in JEE Main are eligible to appear for this exam.
Clearing JEE Advanced opens the gateway to admission in India’s premier IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). Through this exam, students can secure seats in several undergraduate programs such as:
- Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
- Bachelor of Science (BS)
- Dual Degree Programs (BTech–MTech)

JEE Advanced 2026: Examination Schedule Announced
The JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, which ensures a standardized testing environment across the country. Candidates will answer the questions directly on computer systems at their allotted examination centres.
According to the official schedule, the examination will consist of two compulsory papers held on the same day. Both papers will include questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and students must appear for both papers.

Paper 1: 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM (IST)
Paper 2: 02:30 PM – 05:30 PM (IST)
The two-paper format is designed not only to test conceptual knowledge but also to evaluate students’ analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
